Just in 2009, health insurers in Germany were able to save almost eight billion Euros due to generics, as those were being prescribed instead of the much more expansive original product. Hence generics are continuously growing in importance in the oncological therapy. Two thirds of all chronically ill patients worldwide can already successfully be treated with generic pharmaceuticals. The generics are manufactured at notable contract manufacturers. Through this, HAEMATO PHARM AG has been able to successfully offer generics in the fields of zytostatika and antidota for years for various therapies in oncological treatment.

In the period 2009 – 2013 new active ingredients, with a sales volume of above 4,5 billion Euros, will be available for generic products due to expiry of patent protection.
